Albaicín
The Albaicín is Granada's ancient Moorish quarter — a tangle of narrow cobbled lanes, whitewashed houses, and walled carmen gardens rising above the Darro river. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site alongside the Alhambra, and the views of the palace complex from the Mirador de San Nicolás are among the most famous in Spain. Go on foot, get a little lost, and allow at least half a day.
